蘋果iPhone 17 Air將配C1基帶,放棄毫米波,主打續航與省電優勢

近日,知名科技記者馬克·古爾曼在X平臺上分享了一項關于蘋果未來產品的重磅消息。據其透露,蘋果計劃在iPhone 18 Pro中首次搭載自家研發的第二代基帶芯片,這一消息引發了業界的廣泛關注。

然而,在iPhone 18系列面世之前,蘋果用戶還需等待一段時間才能體驗到這一自研基帶技術。古爾曼指出,今年的iPhone Pro系列將繼續采用高通基帶,但蘋果已經在部分機型上邁出了自研基帶的第一步。據悉,即將推出的某款“超薄機型”將搭載與iPhone 16e相似的第一代自研基帶,這一變化標志著蘋果在基帶技術上的自主化進程正在加速。

科技媒體WccfTech對蘋果這一舉動進行了深入分析。他們指出,在即將發布的iPhone 17系列中,僅有iPhone 17 Air將采用C1基帶。遺憾的是,這款基帶目前不支持毫米波網絡,僅兼容sub-6GHz頻段。這意味著,在移動數據網絡環境下,iPhone 17 Air的極限下載速度可能不及支持毫米波的機型。毫米波網絡理論上可實現超過1Gbps的下載速度,而sub-6GHz頻段則限制在100-700Mbps之間。

盡管如此,sub-6GHz網絡也有其獨特優勢。相較于毫米波,sub-6GHz網絡的覆蓋范圍更廣、穿透力更強,連接更穩定且功耗較低。因此,盡管iPhone 17 Air無法享受毫米波帶來的高速網絡體驗,但其C1基帶的省電特性或許能讓蘋果在宣傳上主打“續航最強的6.1寸超薄手機”這一賣點。

路透社此前報道指出,蘋果A19 Pro芯片與C1基帶在協同工作時能夠智能適應用戶行為,自動判斷哪些數據流量應優先收發,從而有效節省電量。這一技術優化無疑將進一步提升iPhone 17 Air的續航能力。

值得注意的是,毫米波作為5G網絡中的高端技術,其理論下行速度可達1-10Gbps,響應速度極快,非常適合VR、云游戲、自動駕駛等前沿應用領域。然而,由于毫米波信號轉播距離有限、容易衰減,且部署成本高昂,目前僅美版iPhone配備了毫米波雷達。這意味著,除美國市場外,其他地區的消費者暫時還無法享受到毫米波網絡帶來的高速體驗。
