高性能智能手表健康測試:蘋果表領先,但背后秘訣難以簡單復制

在智能手表領域,長期以來,我們對“全智能表”持樂觀態度,而對“輕智能表”則持保留意見。這一立場的核心在于,隨著智能手表日益成為個人健康監測的重要工具,擁有更強硬件性能的全智能表理論上能更有效地運行復雜的健康監測算法,從而提供更準確的健康數據。

市場上新興的健康監測功能,如個人快速體檢、血管彈性測試等,幾乎都是由全智能手表率先推出,這無疑進一步強化了高性能硬件對于實現專業健康監測的必要性。

然而,高性能是否等同于高準確度?最近的一項測試結果給出了不同的答案。生物信息學專家及視頻博主Rob ter Horst組織了一次大規模的智能手表測試,涵蓋了近60款產品,從Apple Watch Ultra 2、三星Galaxy Watch 8這樣的旗艦全智能手表,到華為Watch GT系列的輕智能手表,再到以算法經驗豐富著稱的Garmin硬核智能表,甚至包括一些價格更為親民的智能手環。

測試項目包括多種心率監測(室內騎車、戶外跑步、戶外騎車)和睡眠監測,每項測試都使用了專業設備作為參考,并考慮了參考設備的誤差率。結果顯示,Apple Watch Ultra 2在心率監測方面表現出色,幾乎與心率帶的數據一致。但其他手表的表現則令人驚訝。

測試還發現,在舉重等手腕承受較大壓力的運動中,所有智能手表和手環的心率測試都會失效,根本無法讀取心率數據。這不僅揭示了智能手表在特定場景下的局限性,也提醒我們健康監測的準確度是一個復雜問題,涉及硬件性能、算法設計、傳感器質量以及表帶松緊度等多個因素。

Rob ter Horst的測試原本旨在考察Apple Watch Ultra 2升級系統后的健康監測表現,但最終收集的數據不僅證明了蘋果高端全智能手表在軟硬件方面的優勢,還揭示了智能手表行業在健康監測準確度方面的諸多細節問題。

測試結果表明,智能手表的健康監測準確度并不完全與設備性能或價格成正比。然而,我們仍然認為全智能手表在整體可靠性上優于輕智能手表。這不僅因為全智能手表性能更強、能承載更復雜的算法,還因為即使出現問題,其更高的硬件規格也為廠商提供了后期補救的空間。

從商業邏輯來看,輕智能手表和全智能手表之間存在明顯的價格差異。這意味著廠商在軟硬件方面更有動力將定位更高的全智能手表做得更可靠,以維護長期成本和用戶口碑。
