中國科學家突破電解水制氫技術,MOFs電極規模化制備取得新進展

近日,中國科學院傳來振奮人心的科研進展,國家納米科學中心趙慎龍教授帶領的團隊,在金屬有機框架(MOFs)材料領域取得了重大突破,特別是在規模化制備MOFs電極及其電解水應用方面。這一研究成果已于本月早些時候,在權威期刊《自然?化學工程》上發表。

氫氣,作為一種前景廣闊的清潔能源,因其高能量密度、零排放和高轉化效率等特點,被視為推動能源轉型的關鍵力量。電解水制氫技術是實現“綠氫”生產,促進能源結構綠色化的重要途徑。然而,如何開發出高效、穩定且易于規模化生產的電解水催化劑,一直是制約該領域發展的關鍵難題。

趙慎龍教授團隊通過創新的室溫電沉積技術,成功實現了MOFs電極的快速規模化制備。在短短幾分鐘內,就能合成出面積達400平方厘米的電極,并將其應用于堿性電解水體系。實驗結果顯示,這種新型電極的電解能耗極低,僅為4.11千瓦時每標準立方米氫氣,且能在連續5000小時的測試中保持穩定運行。

深入研究表明,該MOFs電極之所以表現出如此優異的性能,關鍵在于鈰(Ce)摻雜所形成的雙金屬結構。這種結構通過獨特的理化性質,調控了鈷(Co)的電子結構,增強了關鍵含氧中間體的化學吸附能力,從而顯著加速了陽極氧析出反應的動力學過程。這一發現打破了傳統無機催化劑在高活性與規模化制備之間的矛盾。

通過多維度的先進表征技術和理論計算,研究人員進一步揭示了金屬摻雜對電子結構、反應路徑及催化性能的精細調控機制。這一研究不僅為MOFs電催化劑的實際應用提供了堅實的理論基礎,還構建了從微觀結構設計到宏觀規模化制備的理論橋梁。
