三星電子下一代DRAM技術:VCT技術將取代1d nm?

近期,據韓國科技媒體SE Daily報道,三星電子在DRAM內存技術領域的戰略規劃有了新的動向。據業內人士透露,三星電子內部已經制定了一項路線圖,計劃在第七代10nm級DRAM內存工藝(即1d nm)之后,引入VCT(垂直通道晶體管)技術。

據了解,三星電子在決定下一代DRAM工藝方向時,曾在1e nm和VCT DRAM兩種方案之間猶豫不決。最終,三星電子選擇了VCT DRAM這一被認為具有“顛覆性”潛力的技術路徑,并將原本致力于1e nm技術研究的團隊整合到了1d nm團隊中,以加速1d nm技術的研發進程。

盡管VCT DRAM技術通過充分利用三維空間,有望大幅提升存儲密度,但其開發難度也不容小覷。該技術不僅需要突破傳統內存技術的限制,還需要采用目前尚未在DRAM中應用的先進封裝工藝,這無疑為三星電子的研發團隊帶來了巨大的挑戰。

與此同時,三星電子在DRAM業務領域的最大競爭對手SK海力士也在積極規劃其未來技術路徑。據透露,SK海力士的大致規劃是從1d nm技術過渡到0a nm技術,并最終實現其所謂的VG DRAM(即3D DRAM)的商業化。SK海力士的這一規劃顯示出其在DRAM技術領域的持續創新和進取。
